Your support of our new organization over the past year has allowed us to prioritize equitable and dignified access to food for our neighbors experiencing hunger. Whether you’re supporting our work with agency and community partners or our Food Shelf or Mobile Food Pantry Programs, you’re ensuring neighbors in every corner of our 15-county region — from International Falls to Princeton, and Brainerd to Hurley — have access to nutritious food. As Kristen, the mother of two young children shares, “I’m very happy we all have the opportunity to eat healthy, no matter what our situation or location.”
You’ve also helped us prioritize dignity, ensuring food access is barrier-free, feels safe and is comfortable. As Sandy, a senior shares, “My anxiety goes way down when I visit the food shelf. People make me feel welcomed.”
In the year ahead, we’re excited to work alongside you and our neighbors experiencing hunger, to learn even more about how we can improve food access throughout the Northland. We hope to learn more about food preferences, how and when our neighbors would like services, and what makes a warm and welcoming experience for the families, children and seniors that you help us feed — all made possible by you (thank you!).
