Jeremy
Jeremy received a terrible Christmas present. “I got laid off,” he said. “My wife was five months pregnant and was having complications that prevented her from working. Things went downhill pretty quickly; I was terrified for my kids.”
With barely enough to get by, and in a desperate search for affordable housing, Jeremy found himself standing in line at our Food Shelf. “From my first visit the volunteers were so helpful. They not only gave my family food, they gave me hope for the first time in a very long time,” he said. “Shortly after, we found a great place to live, I got a full-time job and signed up for classes at Lake Superior College.”
“Thank you,” says Jeremy. “Because of the help of everyone at Second Harvest, I finally feel like things are going to work out.”
